The iiXnet (ICKS - net, noun) is managed by Market eXchange Technologies Pty Ltd (MXT), a private enterprise started by a group of investment market professionals who are wanting to enhance the efficiency of our industry. The goal of the iiXnet is to bring efficiency to relationship (non-transaction) oriented interactions between institutional investment market participants through the use of leading web technologies.

The premise behind iiXnet is to use the power of open consumer web 2.0 social networks (such as myspace and Facebook) and customise them for a closed, industry specific network to meet the needs of professional investment market participants, and the listed companies that interact with them.
