About iiXnet
The
iiXnet is a network relationship manager for institutional financial service professionals and exchange listed companies.
A network relationship manager (NRM) is unlike normal customer relationship management (CRM) systems, where client or counterparty data is entered, updated and held by each individual industry participant. The NRM model (or a Social Network CRM) requires only one entry for each participant to be maintained by that participant, and then by using matching engines all other permissioned participants in the network can access in real time all the relevant counterparty data. The system is built on the principles of quid pro quo (something for something) such that the utility for all participant increases as a) the number of network members increase and b) the amount and accuracy of information each member provides improves.
Under methods currently used in the industry, each participant must keep track of individual relationships and interactions between all other participants in the market. The diagrams below shows a simple example of how the current method creates inefficiency and complexity as the number of participants grows. In contrast, the
iiXnet model maintains its integrity without increased complexity, regardless of the size of the user base.
| Traditional industry relationship model – each participant must initiate and manage a one way relationship with each other participant in the market |
| Limitation of traditional model – as the number of participants grow, the system to manage relationships fails to scale and introduces massive complexity across participants in the management of relationships. |
The basic iiXnet model – each participant only has to manage one relationship – between themselves and the iiXnet itself. Outward links to other participants, and links back to each participant are managed by the iiXnet platform |
| Under the iiXnet model, the system scales the number of relationships without increasing the number of links for the individual participant and the complexity of the system does not increase, resulting in greater integrity in the management of participant relationships |

Whilst the myspace and facebook models are built around doing a few very general tasks in addition to member profiles which appeal to a potential audience of millions or hundreds of millions of users, the
iiXnet has been build around a very defined set of functions which are targeted to a specific, and relatively small, target market. Therefore the
iiXnet provides industry specific task management derived from the 'built for purpose' design of the platform. Participants (buyside, sellside or listed corporate) only need to describe who they are and what they are responsbile for and the system maps all the relevant relationships automatically and provides access to all the relevant features, detailed in the section below.
We believe that the adoption of the
iiXnet platform can materially increase the efficiency and accuracy of participant interactions. The current 'best practice' to manage most of the functions the
iiXnet performs is a combination of isolated participant CRM systems, emails, excel spreadsheets and paper documents. By moving to a networked model, all participants will benefit from a common standard, improved data accuracy and less manual input required to manage the interactions between participants.
